blending images
First, pick out the images you're going to use. I'm going to use these 2, of Audrey Kitching. Image 1 | Image 2

Now, paste these 2 images as new layers onto a transparent 700 x 700 px document.

Move the image on the top over to the right of left so it's not covering the lower image entirely but it still is overlapping it, like mine.

Select the rectangular marquee tool and set the feather to 10-20px, whatever works for you. Drag it down through the part of where the image overlaps the other and press the delete button as many times as you like until you get the look you want. See mine.

And now you've blended 2 images! Add effects, text, whatever! Here is how mine turned out: Click.
