Shapes/Pen Tool Layout
First thing you need to do is open a new image. File > New
800x600 is usually what i like to do but any size is fine depending on how big you want your layout to be.
The color of the background is going to be white. You may use whatever color you want.

Next we are going to add shapes using the pen tool.
or you can use pre-made shapes that we have in our brush section here
To make things easier I will be using the pre-made brushes.

Go to Layers > New Raster Layer
This will be the layers for the shapes.
Start adding shapes in different colors.
Gradients look best.

Then go back to the background layer.
We are going to add some brushes underneath the shapes.
You can add any brush you want but I like to do stripes and dots.
You can find those brushes here

Start adding them under the shapes.
I suggest using the color black.

Now you can add brushes on the shapes.
Click on the shape layer then make a new layer.
Layers > New Raster Layer
In case you mess up, you can delete the new layer.

Now add some brushes on top of the shapes.
It can be dots or stripes or whatever.
Use white to go over them, that way it blends in with the background so it only looks like its on the shapes.
You can also use black.

After all that you can merge all layers.
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
If you want to add a little color to the white background you can darken it with a light tan color.
Or any color of your choice as long as its a light color.
Click Layers > New Raster Layer Set the blend mode to darken @ 100% opacity

To add some finishing touches to my layout I like to add text.
You can add song lyrics of your own choice.
I recommend that the font is small and white with a black drop shadow.
Now you're all done ! Please give credit to us if you use this =]
