Mirror Image/Text
For Photoshop
The popularly used Mirrored Image/Text effect is an easy one once you know how to do it. Let's learn how! PLEASE NOTE: This CAN be done in PSP!

First, type in the text you want or paste in an image. I'll be using this image:

If you're using text, rasterize the layer. If you're using an image or text, either way, go to Edit >> Copy Merged.

Create a new image and hit Ctrl + V. The image should be EXACTLY the same as the other one. Then go to Image >> Rotate Canvas >> Flip Vertical.

Your image should now look something like this:

Put that image aside and go back to your original image. Select all and copy merged. Create a new image but DOUBLE the height! Paste in the original image and use the move tool to move it all the way to the top.

Now go back to the OTHER image, select all and copy merged. Paste it onto the larger image with the original image placed on it. Use the move tool to move it directly under the image. You want like, a smidge of space between the 2.

Set the opacity of the flipped layer to 50%. Grab the Rectangular Selection tool and set the feather to 10px. Select a little of the bottom of it and hit delete.

And you're done! I hope your image came out the way you like it and that this tutorial helped. If you have any questions, you can email me at rjsandbach[@]msn.com.
